Every year, we hold an annual event know and the Rendezvous where sailors in our community can gather, sail and have a great time together in the Bahamas. This year, we again had a variety of different brands of catamarans like Lagoon, Bali, Leopard, Catana, Outremer, Fountaine Pajot Lightwave, Voyage and others, totaling 27 catamarans. It is a nice cross section of brands and owners who no doubt enjoy meting each other and touring each others boats, catching some tips and ideas from each other. We even had a famous boat join the festivities! The “La Vagabonde” Outremer 45, the former home of Reily and Elena, is now a sailing school boat in the Abacos! We visited the incredible Merrivale Prehistoric Settlement on Dartmoor, near Tavistock (https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/merrivale-prehistoric-settlement/) This amazing, 4500 year old site has everything you could want - a standing stone causeway, 2 stone circles, a cist (stone tomb), and huge bronze age village! Its free to visit with a car park only a short walk away. An excellent family fay out - fans of Outlander would particularly love it! #shorts

I am trying out my new whisker pole. It is telescopic and weighs just 6 kilos. The reviews were not fantastic but I bought it anyway with the downsides in mind. It works well so far in up to 25 knots from behind...I will ditch my other pole which weighs 20 kilos and is 14 ft long. This one telescopes from 7ft to 15 ft.
