We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). A quick video of our recent launch after 9 months out of the water. Some seacocks serviced, some replaced, but all checked. So many people seem to take for granted that boats are just water tight, they’re not. Take care, and check all Seacocks when you are lifted. Give yourself good time to replace if needed, alongside a drying pile can be a rush and sometimes not enough time. And make sure all cocks are checked whikst you are held (preferably in slings at the yard).
