The Anchor Hitch is a super knot which tightens on itself when load is applied. It is really simple to tie, all you need is two round turns. One over the top of the item you are securing your rope to and the second one on top of the first. The Anchor hitch will tighten on it self making it hard to undo after load has been applied, making it a great option for permanently securing your rope to an object. Adding the bight when you finish the anchor hitch makes it a lot easier to undo. The additional width of rope used to finish it with the bight is easy pulled out via the tail of the rope. If you are looking for a more details video to learn this not why not check out our long form version showing you how to tie an Anchor Hitch on a Bight. https://youtu.be/XO3rcZkDNWs If you are looking to learn additional options to secure your rope to a fixed object why not check out our fender knot play list which has a variety of options for you to consider. YT-Episode 8 - It’s not all sunsets 🌅 and fair winds 🌬️ We were lucky enough to find the last place in a marina as a Mistral storm came down from France and across the Balearic Islands/Sardinia. 65 knots (74 mph) of wind was reported by those out at Sea. We saw 45 knots (51 mph) on the North East coast of Mallorca. Being moored up in a marina we were relatively comfortable and very thankful to have not been at anchor or on the water. We had 6 lines on, snapped one line and will probably have to replace a couple of others due to chaffing on the rusted bollards, but we are all safe and sound.
