This animation is made by KTF Cranes who will be craning out the 32m aluminium catamaran at our KM yard. The catamaran, previously called Ice Lady Patagonia II, will be at our yard for the next year or so while we perform a major refit and maintenance job on her. The aim is full autonomy and zero carbon emission in operation. ▫️ This company is searching for the sweet spot between a sailing and a motor yacht. This 70' yacht will have 12,000W of solar, hydrogenation and a 230 kWh battery capacity. ▫️ Naval architects : VPLP Design Interior design: Océan Développement / Pierre Frutschi Design Capacity: 8/10 passengers + 2/3 crew members Speed target: 16kts in 15kts TWS ▫️ An interesting innovation is the Aeroforce© Wing sail: Inflatable, automated & retractable 2 x 125 m² wings give a +35% power gain compared to traditional sails.
