Mersincik is an anchorage that we've visited a few times now and it never ceases to impress. The dramatic sheer cliff faces mount a bright rising moon whilst the red setting sun casts eerie shadows across the bay. We tried out the ferry service from the Isle of Kererra to Oban. There is a booking system so you know exactly when you will travel which we lovec. Its great value for money and made exploring Oban very easy and stress free. In addition its great if you need supplies from the big Tesco. We would recommend!

Other sailors advised us to visit the 2 islands below Cannes, because it was so idyllic. You would be very protected from wind and swell on the 'Plateau du milieu' = between the 2 islands, where it was only 3 meters deep and a good sandy bottom. in this crystal clear water the azure color of the Mediterranean Sea was clearly visible. It was indeed beautiful! Here's a movie filmed with a drone as we lay at anchor (thank you Marco Clazin!). You see, we weren't the only boat this summer ;)
