J109 Going to Red hit the front early in the Portaferry Regatta 2025. Big Sails win big races and fortune favoured the brave with the Redline Racing Team making the big call to set the A2 at the start and blast downwind to enter the lough at over 15 knots over the ground. With the sun shinning both on the bay and the crew it made a great spectacle for the passengers on the Strangford Ferry. At the 44Cup Scheveningen, we had two rising stars join our media team for the week and they absolutely delivered. With part of our crew sidelined by sickness, @conan_sailing_photography_ and @byzoomers stepped up as official event photographers. Guided by @sailingenergy, they produced awesome content that captured the energy of a hectic event. Their hard work, talent, and professionalism shone through, and we feel lucky to have had them onboard. The future is bright for these two. The annual trip up Strangford Lough from White Rock to Portaferry and Strangford is always one of the highlights of the years racing. With the 2020 regatta cancelled due to the COVID=19 pandemic the teams are gearing up for a return to racing. It will be great to see how the rebuilt Strangford Sailing club looks on Friday Night as everyone gathers outside for the best BBQ of the summer. The team at Bottom Up Boats hopes to live stream the starts and provide some racing footage in the weeks to come, making up for the drought of on the water action over the last 18 months. The crew is ready to race and is looking forward to a strong turn out for the first big regatta on the lock for quite some time.
