Для тех, кому Ирбис-16 кажется избыточным — например, для одиночного крейсерства по небольшим озёрам, для семейных выходов на день-два, для первых шагов в парусе, для организации проката. Ирбис-15 сохраняет всю логику старших моделей: устойчивость к морской воде, каркасную схему, надёжные поплавки, дакроновый парус, ремонтопригодность в поле.
