Hydrovane is thrilled to add these uniquely wing-ed sails to our range of offshore gear! Stability, lift, ease of use, fly from 70° to 180° AWA - there are many reasons why these are truly exceptional sails. Especially for a short handed crew. Yes, the first time we hoisted ours was at the dock with hardly a breath of wind. Impressive to see it fly! And we’re even more enthralled using it out on open water 😝 Choose from standard colour patterns or customize with a logo/design like we did. Who’s that 1 charming fish you should never scare? Hint: He bears a strong resemblance to Stewie on Family Guy 😅 When scared the Porcupine Fish unhinges his jaw to gulp large amounts of water, quickly expanding his body into a round ball and extending spikes that cover his body. While this act does not kill the fish (a popular rumor which only occurs when near the surface, thus gulping air), it does stretch his skin/stomach and makes it very difficult to swim thus leaving him vulnerable for 5+ hours which is how long it takes him to deflate. So next time you meet this cutie, please don’t scare him 🐡❤️ Want to meet a Porcupine Fish? Join us for a dive 👉🏽 https://cruisenautic.com/
