Located near Kulusuk in East Greenland, Knud Rasmussen Glacier can be found at the end of Sermiligaaq Fjord. Sermilik Fjord is a big fjord west of the village Tasiilaq. The name Sermilik translates to ‘place with glacier’. The fjord is filled with icebergs because it receives water from multiple glaciers. While the Global Surveyor sailed in, we observed many whales and seals in their natural habitat, but no polar bears on the shore. Global Surveyor is set to sail to the Arctic for the summer. A challenging campsite. Please hit the subscribe button! The side of a decent mountain in knee-deep snow. We made it work though with a little engineering. Snow platforms shovelled and packed level worked perfectly! Kevin and I decided to winter camp while we ice-fished for Lake Trout in Alberta's Rocky Mountains.
