It's not Maine, the Pacific Northwest or British Colombia...I'm sailing a Colorado lake nestled high in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The sailboat is our 2010 Precision 18 trailer sailer, s/v "Mandatory Fun." Winds were perfect, so I sailed "wing-on-wing" along the rugged shoreline on a dead downwind run under a full mainsail. It is the first storm of the season. Hurricane Agatha in the Pacific crossed Mexico into the Gulf (Now the Atlantic Hurricane region) and turned into Tropical Storm One. Heading right to us. It was weak, but you never know if it will stay that way as it moves over the warm Gulf of Mexico water. Ever ridden out a tropical storm or hurricane in your house or boat?
