The crew on J109 Going to Red had some close tussles with J109 Ctrl-J during Cork Week 2024. For the most part Going to Red was faster upwind with Ctrl-J making up ground on the runs. GTR was doing all it could to slip down to leeward to stay in front of the fast charging blue spinnaker. This week our boatlife brings us to Stromboli in the Aeolian Islands, where we are anchored right next to Megayacht Feadship - formerly known as Steve Jobs' Yacht 'Venus'. We realized that Italy is not just a sailing destination for charter boats and cruisers but also a stopover for many superyacht owners, who want to get a glimpse of the volcanoes and beautiful coastline of Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Stromboli, Filicudi, Alicudi and Panarea.
