How to Rig the traveler on your laser sailboat: http://laserxd.com/rigging/how-to-rig-the-laser-traveler/ This method is stronger than using knots and allows for maximum purchase while keeping a low profile. This will keep the boom from rising towards the center of the cockpit. When the boom goes to the center of the boat it causes drag and slows the boat. NOTE: I added a piece of rigging tape around the line where it goes through itself and also switched to 5mm Vectran this helps keep the traveler a hair tighter which will maximize your upwind performance.
