As they've learned while sailing in Greece, sometimes the best approach is simply "slowly, slowly." Overnight Sailing & Mediterranean Weather Overnight passages brought another set of lessons. When possible, Mike and Linda prefer to sail overnight when there is some moonlight and put a reef in before sundown for additional peace of mind. Weather monitoring has also become an important part of their daily cruising routine. Rather than relying on one forecast, they compare several sources, including PredictWind and Windy, to help make informed decisions before setting off. Learning as You Cruise Perhaps their biggest lesson is that you don't need to know everything before you start.
