Scott & Crystal finally take the plunge and buy a sailboat! It's a beautiful 1973 Dickerson 36 ketch. It has been lovingly restored to a great degree by the previous owners (sailingfromscratch.com), but there's still a ton of work to be done.

Crystal & Scott head out for one more sailing lesson in #SanDiego on #SanDiegoBay. This time they're joining Captain Keith McGarry for a legit lesson and heading out for their first trip into the open waters of the Pacific Ocean!

As always, when learning to sail, there are always obstacles and setbacks. Whenever we learn to sail, we focus on being a learning to sail optimist! It makes it even better when this rough ride rewarded with hot tubbing and ice cream. Not too bad. So make sure to watch this video, because, after several frustrating attempts at tack and jibe commands, Scott & Crystal realize that they need a lot more practice before they feel comfortable.
