I'm using this pressure cooker that my husband bought me. He says this is the "Way" the sailor's cook most of their meals since it cooks faster and is used on a stovetop. In this recipe for clam chowder, I substituted the dairy products for coconut oil and cream. The result was a richer tastier version of clam chowder without losing any of the flavor. This is the first day of our Journey. I am accompany by Will Bagnall and Brad McCabe. We made our way out of the Columbia River Bar in Astoria Oregon at 5 am. It was high tide with slack waters. We headed up to the Astoria Dry dock where our new boat was located with some friends to rename our boat. First we had to get her back into the water. Secondly, we had to do a de-naming ceremony before we could give her a new name. Our boat is a 2003 Beneteau 393.
