It was a peaceful Monday morning. We went for a bus ride and did some grocery shopping. We had no idea what was in store for us that day! A little storm was predicted with 22 knots winds and five-foot swells out of the NE. When we got back onboard around 11, the swells had started coming through the inlet and smashing on the western end of Junkanoo Beach anchorage. We were pretty far inside on the eastern end of the bay, safe we thought. By 4pm, the tide had dropped 3 feet, the wind shifted to the NW and the swells were driving Freya directly toward the beach. In minutes we were aground and the swells just kept pushing us harder. I ran up on the bow to man the windlass, QP started the engine and we started creeping forward inch by inch. Ellis from SV Booby Trap came over to lend a hand, but there was nothing he could do. We had to just keep inching forward until one of the swells lifted us off the bottom and we could safely re-anchor. We finally floated off and moved out into the bay. There was no space left to anchor on the eastern side. We tried anchoring on the western side, but it was far too rough. We decided to go past the cruise ship dock and anchor in Nassau Harbor. Freya was a mess inside and we were still way too worked up to sleep, but we were safe!

Hatchet Bay and Sweeting's Seahorse Pond, Eleuthera, Bahamas Join our Patreon.com/svfreya crew! The reason for hiding out in Hatchet Bay was to have a safe and comfortable harbor for the windstorm that was predicted. Inside the bay was calm, but of course, QP wanted to go back out to snorkel where we found the cave the day before the storm. I took her out, which only lasted a few minutes. The wind and waves were much stronger and bigger than inside the bay! OK then let's just explore around the bay. The next day, we hiked to Sweeting's Pond with Mike Pierce and the crew of SV Magic, so QP could find some seahorses. This was her first time to see them in nature! We saw several Seahorses, but the wind made the water cloudy, and, in the waves, I couldn't hold the GoPro steady. See the videos. After 4 miles of hiking and an hour of snorkeling, we stopped at Emett's for a cheeseburger and made plans for a Chinese meal on Freya in the evening. We planned on leaving for the Glass Window early the next morning. Hope to see you there!

The Photo Session continues on the dock in Rock Sound The girls changed from styles over 1000 years old to modern sexy dresses! This time, the guys were lucky enough to get in some shots. Next up will be a visit to the Cathedral Caves, where QP will sing a little Chinese song for everyone. Officers and Captains, we have not forgotten you! We will try to find a remote place to take some special photos for you as soon as possible. Modeling Red Dress.MOV

Welcome aboard SV Freya, this is QP and Willard. Thank You very much for joining us on our adventures, and a special thanks to our patrons on Patreon.com/svfreya You all know how much QP loves to play dress up and model. Well, her new friend enjoys playing also. The girls packed a bunch of outfits to wear for a photo session on shore. They didn't even make it off the dock before changing into their traditional Chinese clothes. They are not sure of which period these outfits were popular, but they are an ancient style, maybe Han or Tang. The black and white outfit is for practicing Kung Fu. QP liked this one best! It was difficult taking photos of both girls as they ran around dancing and play fighting. Being a new model, she was having a hard time doing a hair flip. Hopefully, we will have another chance in the water. The modeling continued after a wardrobe change into more modern dresses. QP is sorting those photos now and will post them maybe tomorrow.

Welcome aboard SV Freya, this is QP and Willard. Thank You very much for joining us on our adventures, Like, Share, follow, subscribe and treat us to a gigabyte of data at Patreon.com/svfreya. Your support is very much appreciated! We left Bennett's Harbor headed for Rock Sound, Eleuthera, Bahamas Little San Salvador was bought by Holland America cruise line and renamed Half Moon Cay. It's now a private island just for cruise ship customers. We anchored over night in Half Moon Bay where we could see the tourist area. The water is a beautiful blue over white sand. See the video. The beach is cleaned by two tractors in the early morning and the workers are ferried in before the cruise ship anchors to unload its passengers. QP did a bit of modeling and fishing before the sun went down, this is a must see video! We left early the next morning at dawn. Next stop, John Millar's on the southern tip of Eleuthera. Barely There Bikinis asked QP to model their bikinis on a beautiful beach in the Bahamas. QP loves to model, so of course she jumped at the chance! Barely There Bikinis are Micro Bikinis and are very sexy! QP was very happy to model them. We chose White Cay for the setting because of its bright white disappearing beach. We were surprised to find Iguanas on the beach looking for a handout, and underwater life is also pretty amazing at Whita Cay. I'm sure we will be back to visit here again.

We left Pear Cay in the Jumentos Cays heading for Salt Pond village on Long Island. Comer Channel is about 7 feet deep at mid tide, so no problem for SV Freya. Just as we entered the shallow part on the west end of the channel, a very friendly dolphin came by to lead us through. QP stayed up on the bow chatting with our guide until we passed back into the deeper east end of the channel. Thanks again little buddy! We didn't have enough time to make to the anchorage in Thompson Bay before dark, so we dropped anchor just outside of the east end of the channel. There are miles of flat shallow sea with deep sand everywhere here! Weather called for a nice calm night and the swells and waves were less than a foot. Pear Cay, Jumentos, Bahamas Please consider supporting our posts by joining our Patreon.com/svfreya crew. $1 a week will help pay our internet data service. Thank You very much! We left Conch Cay later than usual because we thought it would only be a three-hour cruise to Nuevitas Rocks. It only took us two-and-a-half-hours, but there was no safe place to anchor overnight! No Problem! No Bush Cay is not far. Guess what? No safe anchorage there either! Still not worried. Rocky Bank is in sight so, let's go! Again, no safe anchorage! We have only one more chance, before the sun sets. Thank Neptune, Pear Cay has a safe spot in calm weather to spend the night. We got securely anchored and still had about 30 minutes of daylight left, so QP did a bit of fishing. She caught two Queen Triggerfish. She said they are too pretty to keep, so she let them go! The next morning the current was so strong that I was too afraid of us being swept out to sea to swim to the island. We waited till noon for the tide to lessen and hopped in. The current was still very strong! Willard pulled me to the island where the current was a bit slower. Swimming was so difficult that we didn't take many videos, but the area would be awesome in calm weather and slack tide! There are many beautiful fishes, and they swim much better than I do! Willard pulled me back to Freya and we headed for Comer Channel. Finally, the tide changed, and we made great time with the current pushing us towards Comer Channel. Next update will be from the anchorage on the east end of Comer Channel! Have a great day everyone!
