Hole in the hull was inside a steel water tank that was welded to the hull. I removed it for exactly this reason. I have some fibreglass ones to install instead.

Day 4 of stripping off parts for Chineel and to sell

Starting work on salvaging a yacht. We're later going to take her out and sink her once we've stripped off everything useful.

I was curious about this abandoned house, so decided to check it out and found this.

This recipe works for any firm white meat, such as chicken, shark, octopus, squid, cuttlefish.

This day started with 30-35knots, and 3-4m seas, but died down to around 25knts and 3m later.

The wind increased on the morning of the forth day, and I began to approach hull speed despite having 1 panel of the foresail still reefed. Later that day the wind dies back down to under 25 knots and I do some checks on the rigging. Although the size of the waves isn't clear on camera, there are online resources that will let you calculate it based on the percentage of white-capped waves. Most were around 3.5 meters, though I think I got one of the 4 meter waves on camera. I will release a short "Just Sailing" video from this day soon, with no music. In this episode I contend with confused seas and gusty conditions, and fix the problem I had created in the 4-part euphroe span of the fore-sheets, while I navigate along the northern edge of the acceleration zone.

In this first video I depart Mindelo Bay. Video shot from an improvised position under the dodger, so excuse the distortions from the image stabilization software - the result was better than not using it. Future videos are higher quality. A lot of subtitles, I know, but I had no time to talk to the camera. Sometimes the subtitles are too fast, so you're just going to have to pause, sorry :P Anyway, this was well over 10 hours editing at this point, so I hope it turned out ok.
