After what I think was six days of sleeping sideways on the beach preparing the boat by removing all of the sand and water and trying to seal the hull to deck seam semi Successfully plus arranging a little equipment and people for the big day we made it about 15 feet into the water off of the beach. For the last just under 48 hours we have been slowly kedging our way back into deeper water. We have gone from 3 feet to about 5 1/2 feet but still have another foot to go. It is low tide right now but by high tide this evening we should be home free! Thank you all for following along and I will be putting together a real episode in the near future about this process with some nice illustrations on our strategy to show you how are you too could one day save your boat if you end up in this situation. This vessel is 55 feet and over 30,000 lbs! so if we can do it with this you can do it with anything! Always remember never give up on your dreams. Anything is possible! Here she is folks! The New Another Adventure! She came into my world as a vessel in distress just like the old Another Adventure. I wouldn't have it any other way! It breaks my heart to see boats lost to unfortunate situations like this and saving them is one of the things I live for! This one however is very special as she will be our future home and we will be putting her back together piece by piece over the next several years and taking you along for the ride! This video is actually a few days old and we are MANY days into sleeping (or trying to sleep lol) on the side of this deck. we have been extraordinarily busy with the salvage process between hands-on work removing water and sand and transporting all of the Pieces and weight out of the boat to a safe location and preparation to purchasing supplies and arranging equipment to get her back into the water safely! We are just pulling into Puerto Rico after two days of sailing. I have gone through the comments from the previous video to try to answer a few more questions! My service is still in and out so I may have missed a few but I will do my best to cover those in the upcoming videos.... I just wanted to get this video recorded and start posting as we were getting close to land because it will be hecticly busy once we are doing check-in's and starting to physically collect items to do the salvage. i'm so excited about this new adventure and will be very busy in the next few days doing the final organizations to make this happen but I will put up another update with information and video about the boat to be salvaged once we are on the scene.
