We're Donna and John, and this channel is dedicated to sharing our journey as we transition from landlubbers to full time salty sailors. That's right, WE'RE GOING TO LIVE ON A BOAT! We have lived in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia for almost twenty years now. We've loved experiencing the beautiful waters around us while we hike, explore beaches, and kayak near shore. There's only so far we can go in a kayak though, and our interest in adventure is just too great for our little kayaks. So as we head into retirement, we are learning to sail with the goal of buying a live aboard boat that is seaworthy enough for us to sail along the Pacific coast and more. Who knows? Maybe we will eventually go through the Panama Canal to explore the Caribbean or we will cross to Hawaii and Polynesia and eventually New Zealand and Australia. The world is our oyster. Figuratively speaking, of course - neither of us likes oysters that much.
