Our friends took us snorkeling at Peter Island and Norman Island, BVI. It was truly an underwater adventure. So many different types of coral and lots of beautiful fish. I could have stayed all day!

Life on Santiago ?? Hope Town - A nice walk

This video shows our journey on Santiago from Great Sale Cay to Great Guana Cay during our first week in the Bahamas in 2024. We check into customs in Green Turtle Cay then head south through Whale Cay Cut to Great Guana Cay.

We left Lake Worth Florida at 5:00 AM. Immediately outside the inlet we had 4 to 6 foot waves which continued for the next six hours or so until it settle down. We were able to put the sail up for a while which gave us an extra couple of knots of speed and helped stabilize the boat but then the wind direction shifted and we were going directly into it. ?? Our choices were to either tack or use the motor. We used the motor because we wanted to get to our destination as quickly as possible. Once the seas calmed down it was a beautiful cruise. We arrived at our anchorage at Great Sale Cay 10:45 pm.

Ahoy! I knew it was going to be cold in Virginia in January, but I hadn't considered that it might even snow. We only got about an inch. I was surprised because I hadn't expected it. This video shows our trip down the ICW from Great Bridge, VA to the North River, NC. We're not too not far from Grandy, NC. The trip down the ICW was beautiful. We spent two nights anchored in the North River. The wind piped up and the rain came down. The high winds make the sea state rough which made the boat move around a lot. Because of this, Victory's anchor dragged. Shawn was on anchor watch and noticed that Victory was getting closer to us. He called to them to let them know and they sprung into action to hoist the anchor, move the boat to a new spot and then redeployed it.

We anchored outside of the two sounds at Green Turtle Cay. Both were too shallow for us to get into and anchor. It wasn't that far of a dinghy ride to the dock. We dingy'd ashore and explored the island on foot with Richard and Monica, enjoying a beverage at some of the bars and restaurants. What a fun day!

This video shows our first Atlantic Ocean crossing from Florida to the Bahamas. We left Lake Worth, FL on February 26, 2023 at 2:00 AM and arrived at West End, Bahamas 12 hours later. There wasn't much wind so we motor-sailed most of the way. Our buddy boat, Victory (crew - Richard and Monica) was within sight the whole way across. Needless to say, we celebrated when we arrived.
