We finally take a sail in Japan with some friends, while our boat waits for us in California. We wanted to get right into season two, refining our Ingrid 38 sailboat. But we had a few great sailing trips during our time back home in Japan, so we thought it would be fun to share a bit with you all! Let us know if you are interested in sailing in Japan in the comments! We would love to see some more cruisers in this amazing place. Japan just has so much to offer. This time we are head to Yuge Island with our great friend and inspiration, Lowell Sheppard. We had heard so much about it, but didn't expect to find such a magical place. It wouldn't have been possible without the help of Ben; we wish we had more footage to show what a fantastic time we had, but hopefully in this video it comes across what a great sailor and person he is. We were so lucky to have him with us! This is the end of Season 1, but not the end of our journey by a long shot. Next season we will begin to refit the boat, so she is ready to cross the Pacific and bring us back home to Japan! In episode 3, we share what we learned in our search for the perfect boat to sail across the pacific to our home in Japan, and how it pointed in the right direction. Our budget was under 30K USD. We found what we need to keep pushing forward, making our first step towards our goal of sailing our boat from my birthplace to our home, here in Japan. This series of episodes will take you along with us, as we meet each other's families, and find the boat that we will sail back to our home in Japan. Hello friends! Julia is from Spain, and Tyler is from the US. This is the first of a series of videos, telling the story of the unique "coincidences" that led us to find each other and decide to purchase a sailboat in California despite living in Japan - and all the adventures it has entailed.
