friends head to la Palma and we relax in pasito Blanco waiting for weather to change so we can head to Tenerife.
investigating the migrants hand made boats they travel the across the ocean with and they don't always make it to the intended location.
Chilling @ ?, catamaran is for sale, if you're interested organise a viewing, location Sal, Cape Verde.
Attacked with a rock twice to my head. Rock attacks are common here in Cape Verde, so watch your six and drop em quick. ?? ?
Drifting the island to fix my situation & find opportunities and create businesses after being forced off the boat by a few maniacs.
Santa Maria pier destroyed again plus I have a catch up with my man beach Edson who shares the same mind as me regarding the self destructive, narcissistic, jealous natives of this island. It's been such a long time since I have seen him so it was great to talk real talk. Then me and pickles living in crack alley in the middle of town for a few nights?. Then free security work for a safer and cleaner living space for me and mr pickles to rescuing endless sea turtles on Roberto's site, then emergency evacuation back to the pantera for Mr pickles as he defended himself and I against 20 dogs and ripped his jew claw off and got a deep cut in his ear. Life in Sal drifting as rejects as usual. The best part for me is the rejected dogs as they love me and pickles and the turtles as you cant beat nature as its pure. I have more conversations with the animals then the majority of people here as they are more engaging and intelligent. Thanks to the people who have supported me here and assisted me when I was in serious need much ??. To my enemies go F*** yourself shame to your mother's.??
Not for soft people. Real talk
About to escape Cartegena.
Me going through tactics as things keep failing with everything against me adrift from Gambia to Cape Verde rainy season.? Boat life
Relaxing ?
My boat brought us here. Just a normal area full of fun and interest. (bad area)
My thoughts & experiences adrift at sea through rainy season 8+ days total should be 4 days 10hrs through many storms & death by doldrums low on supplies & no gasolina, broken sails plus 2 big boats ignoring my flares leaving me for dead. Full episodes of passage(s) available very soon just need time to upload. Always busy.??
whilst I was living offgrid in the Bush & mangroves system in Gambia for over 1 & a half years me & my mother spotted a crocodile coming past the boat and stalking a local gambian woman who was catching mud crabs with bonga fish as bait. Usually they use pirogues or dug outs to do this job so it's very unusual to do this basically swimming. The area is full of crocodiles and other nice beasts it's an extremely wild & primitive location.
Whilst we were living in Gambia we discovered a dog named lovely who gave birth to a litter of pups so we moved them to a safe location as they were born by the river underneath a pirogue, with too many dangers around from people to predators who will do harm to these poor dogs we looked after them and I decided to select one which we could use for security, hunting etc so we picked Mr pickles our Basenji cross Dingo, he's the best thing we found in Gambia a great addition to the crew.
Arrived in la linea de la conception had an awful 5 months of hell then we broke free and escaped the meditaranean Sea to join the Atlantic ocean with risk of Piracy & Orca attacks on ships. We had been well prepared for the situation and dealt with the following problems that arose that day with precision. We got attacked just outside tarifa by 4 orcas on the 16/4/2021 but they are known for attacking boats all up the African, Spanish & Portuguese coasts. ????????? Order of things we did was kill the engine, kill electrics and any other gadgets you have on board, reduce the gib sheet quarter of its size as to still have steering and slight control of movement, throw paper overboard as a distraction for the orcas, counter the steering by centering it to reduce the risk of braking the rudders and connection points, remain calm and quiet and I eventually turned the radio off as it was a bad idea to radio through due to the noise/frequency it produces plus I couldn't understand a word.
We have been at San Pedro for 3 days now & had to prepare & lock down the boat for an incoming force 11 storm.????????????????? Armed with 30M of chain & a 20kg Rocna anchor at a depth of 5.6m sand bottom. Plus we managed to get to shore and have a better look around.
we say goodbye to marky (Rose Rambler) and move Move on from Ascar, Cartagena spain to Las Negras, san pedro. Really lovely place we are dug in 7m depth sand a weed bottom 30m chain with 20kg Rocna anchor. Hopefully we hold in these high winds (38-40knts) that are due to come from the south. Plenty of marine life and it's perfect for a swim around plus there is a commune on the beach with up to 80 people living all year round off grid. Apparently it used to be a safe haven for pirates as there are houses and forts built around the place.
On the hard in Cartagena Spain. Doing major repairs and painting the boat with some exploration of Cartagena.
After sailing 6 days non stop we arrived at Cartegena, Spain and recovered for 9 days ready for a lift out at the dry dock to do repairs and paint. Up to date damage to the hull and various other places. Very bad Corona virus situation here.
After dragging anchor andgetting close to the rocks in Platja de Garbet at 2 am we left for the marina in Llança Spain just next door. The anchorage was like a washing machine when the wind blew through the Pyrénées, We managed to escape and pick our moment to leave. The marina was very accomodating and the staff were all friendly so we resupplied and explored Llança for a few days before we head off to continue the passage to Ibiza. Plenty of crab pots and fishing nets everywhere.
