Since visiting and then purchasing MacMac in late October, the intervening weeks between then and Christmas have been packed with preparation! Four truck loads packed into 4 crates - all my worldly yachting possessions!. Some amazing cooking instruction from Gary Gamble - "Maximise Taste with Minimum Effort" was the order of the day. So hopefully we won't starve on route to Barcelona :-) Thanks to everyone for all your help in getting us this far!!
After many many years in the planning and 9 months of searching, a 4 week window of wonder opened up for us, just as we were about to board Luna again for the last sail of our bareboat charter season. A highly sought after Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54DS became available in Split, Croatia. The race was on to finally secure our new MacMac home! BIG HUGE thanks to our Barcelona Team - Mark Scrancher and Lies Vercaemere - without them, none of this would have been possible!
This video continues the Turkish sailing adventure onboard Luna, our 2022 "bareboat" sailing charter from @E.G.G. Yachting with@Sailing MacMac. Zacc flies in from Dublin for a few days sailing before we head north to the Datca Peninsula and encounter 26-31 knot winds with a triple reef in. Also on scene to witness a HUGE fire on the peninsula and observe the fire fighting flying crews "up close and personal"

Having explored Kalekoy Castle, we moved on to a couple of other anchorages around Kekova Roads including a memorable evening in Ucagiz. Then it was time too turn back north toward Gocek Bay to sing Happy Birthday!

Saying goodbye to Abbie and Finley in Gocek, Robin, Dee, Ian and Judith skipped across the Bay of Fethiye and around to Gemiler Island before heading 50miles South to Kekova Roads.
Ingredients: 500 g white flour 400 ml of Luke warm water 4 teaspoons of instant yeast 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 cereal spoon salt 3 cereal spoons of dried milk Note: This dough is very very sticky. Don't add anything to make t not sticky - It is supposed to be! Make sure you knead the dough for a minimum of 10 minutes - better still 15 minutes Let the dough rise covered until it doubles in size. It will take around 90minutes in the Turkish heat in the summer. I "pour" the risen dough straight in the tin so I don't knock out the air bubbles. No clue what the oven temperature is on-board - I just turn not up to full on - I am guessing it is about 200 C. For AR
