Sometimes the dream boat isn't the right boat. After months of dreaming about the Tayana 37, we discovered that the reality didn't match the vision, and that's okay. In this episode, we share the emotional turning point that lead us to let go, trust the tide, and sail onward. Along the way, dolphins joined in to cheer us up, a hike across Stocking Island to say goodbye (for now) to our favorite beach, and I left behind one of Lucy's Heart Rocks as a symbol of love. We've never been this close to a hurricane in a boat. Ultimately, we made the right decision to leave the boat when Melissa was heading our way. Very hard choice.

Waiting out Hurricane Melissa has been stressful enough, but we decided to make life even more stressful by negotiating a new boat purchase. 🤨
