Don and Kristen met in Mooloolaba on Queensland's Sunshine Coast 16 years ago and always dreamed of owning a boat and sailing around the world together. Trouble with that idea was that they had very little money! Find out how we purchased this sailing boat for $3,000 and restored it, a 38ft monohull, Hartley Cape Otway and geared out lives to enable us to live our dream. It's not easy and it took about 10 years to make the dream happen but if you watch our channel you will find out how we went about it, pros and cons. Season 1 is spent sailing up the Queensland coast through the Great Barrier Reef, not sure where Season 2 will take us yet. We do not claim to be a "how to" type programme but this is what we did and how we did it, doesn't mean it is the best way and we would change many things given our time over, but here we are doing it our way.
