Surprise bonus video (and maybe the most exciting one yet!) 💙 I’ve spent so much time out on the water this summer that I’ve found myself thinking more and more about the ocean, and how little I actually know about it. So, I spent a day at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) to learn more about the incredible work being done to understand and protect our ocean. From seagrass science and marine robotics to tiny ocean organisms, I got a behind-the-scenes look at some of the brilliant work happening right here in Scotland - and I’m SO excited to share this with you!!! I’m also putting 10% of the profits from my YouTube videos towards marine conservation projects across Scotland, and my very first donation went straight to SAMS 💙 This one took many, many hours to put together, so if you enjoy it, I’d really appreciate you sharing it with a friend who might find it interesting too. I’d love for this video to reach as many people as possible! ⛵ BECOME A PATREON: Join me on Patreon for extra behind-the-scenes content, uncut sailing videos, sneak peeks of upcoming adventures, and a closer look at life aboard Enya:https://www.patreon.com/c/_kayleighbrown 🍿 WATCH NEXT: MY FIRST SOLO SAIL (AUSTRALIA): https://youtu.be/AOeVM_hZEuI?si=pdIG6h6Md862Bmbh 1000KM OF SOLO BIKE-PACKING: https://youtu.be/lJDS4WUS-F0?si=TtEFNyPF9MtrHCD6 WE CYCLED THE LENGTH OF NEW ZEALAND:https://youtu.be/iEWj6Kcl_NM?si=77ggYVzpBmNQw_m8 MY OTHER SOCIALS: 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_kayleighbrown/ 📱 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@kayleighjeanbrown/ 🎥 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kayleighjeanbrown/ WHO AM I? 👋 If we haven’t met before… hi, I’m Kayleigh. This week, I’m sailing to the tiny Isle of Gigha, one of Scotland’s beautiful west coast islands. With white sandy beaches, turquoise water and stunning coastal walks, Gigha looked so tropical that I started wondering if I’d accidentally sailed to the Caribbean 🌴 I spend a few days exploring the island, both by boat and on foot, checking out its beaches, coastal scenery, gardens and a few of the places that make Gigha such a special little island. If you enjoy Scottish island adventures, sailing around Scotland, exploring the west coast and following along with my wee adventures aboard Enya, come along for the journey! Scotland is home to some truly wild places.. and over the next few months, I’m going to be exploring as many of them as I can. This week, I’m sailing to one of the most rugged islands on the west coast - a place with giant mountains, red deer, abandoned cottages, and enough whisky to sink a ship. ⛵ BECOME A PATREON: Join me on Patreon for extra behind-the-scenes content, uncut sailing videos, sneak peeks of upcoming adventures, and a closer look at life aboard Enya:https://www.patreon.com/c/_kayleighbrown ⚓ YOUTUBE MEMBERSHIP: Become a YouTube channel member to get access to exclusive posts, members-only videos, badges, and other perks while directly supporting the channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaMl3_TPJHdY6NMTzFs7ASQ/join 🍿 WATCH NEXT: MY FIRST SOLO SAIL (AUSTRALIA): https://youtu.be/AOeVM_hZEuI?si=pdIG6h6Md862Bmbh 1000KM OF SOLO BIKE-PACKING: https://youtu.be/lJDS4WUS-F0?si=TtEFNyPF9MtrHCD6 WE CYCLED THE LENGTH OF NEW ZEALAND:https://youtu.be/iEWj6Kcl_NM?si=77ggYVzpBmNQw_m8 MY OTHER SOCIALS: 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_kayleighbrown/ 📱 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@kayleighjeanbrown/ 🎥 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kayleighjeanbrown/ WHO AM I? 👋 If we haven’t met before… hi, I’m Kayleigh. During a single day, I dealt with an engine failure, had to anchor under sail, and discovered the boat was taking on water. Not exactly how I imagined the start of the trip would go.. BUT despite the challenges, there were plenty of great moments too: sailing through the stunning Kyles of Bute, spotting lots of harbour seals, enjoying golden sunsets, wild swimming, and welcoming one of my best friends, who came all the way from Sweden to join the adventure. ⚓ YOUTUBE MEMBERSHIP: Become a YouTube channel member to get access to exclusive posts, members-only videos, badges, and other perks while directly supporting the channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaMl3_TPJHdY6NMTzFs7ASQ/join ⛵ PATREON: Join me on Patreon for extra behind-the-scenes content, uncut sailing videos, sneak peeks of upcoming adventures, and a closer look at life aboard a tiny boat: https://www.patreon.com/c/_kayleighbrown 🍿 WATCH NEXT: MY FIRST SOLO SAIL (AUSTRALIA): https://youtu.be/AOeVM_hZEuI?si=pdIG6h6Md862Bmbh 1000KM OF SOLO BIKE-PACKING: https://youtu.be/lJDS4WUS-F0?si=TtEFNyPF9MtrHCD6 WE CYCLED THE LENGTH OF NEW ZEALAND: https://youtu.be/iEWj6Kcl_NM?si=77ggYVzpBmNQw_m8 MY OTHER SOCIALS: 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_kayleighbrown/ 📱 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@kayleighjeanbrown/ 🎥 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kayleighjeanbrown/ WITH THANKS: A huge thank you to Pantaenius and Wild Earth for supporting this channel. Over the next few months I’m hoping to share stories from the sea, with the hope of encouraging others to get outdoors, care for our environment and set off on their own adventures. 🍿 WATCH NEXT: COSTS OF LIVING ON A SAILBOAT: https://youtu.be/WRafLL63ewU?si=GCCMW-YP_aVBLhsp MY FIRST SOLO SAIL: https://youtu.be/AOeVM_hZEuI?si=pdIG6h6Md862Bmbh SHIPWRECK STORIES: https://youtu.be/FC2FycryeXg?si=nzLDLIs3uMVqQ8vG 1000KM OF SOLO BIKE-PACKING: https://youtu.be/lJDS4WUS-F0?si=TtEFNyPF9MtrHCD6 WE CYCLED THE LENGTH OF NEW ZEALAND: https://youtu.be/iEWj6Kcl_NM?si=77ggYVzpBmNQw_m8 EXTRA CONTENT ON PATREON: ⛵ Get access to exclusive uncut sailing videos, support my marine conservation mission, get behind-the-scenes footage and sneak peeks of upcoming adventures: https://www.patreon.com/c/_kayleighbrown MY OTHER SOCIALS: 📸 INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/_kayleighbrown/ 📱 TIKTOK: https://www.tiktok.com/@kayleighjeanbrown/ 🎥 FACEBOOK:  https://www.facebook.com/kayleighjeanbrown/ WITH THANKS: I wanted to say a huge thank you Wild Earth for their continued support. 💸 Ever wondered what it really costs to buy a sailboat? See or Q&A in the comments below 👇 After half a year at sea - exploring remote islands, fixing things that broke, and learning as we went - here’s our entire journey condensed into just 3 cinematic minutes. There’s no talking or narration in this one, just my favourite shots paired with piano to tell the story. From calm sunsets to rough seas, it’s a glimpse into what full-time boat life truly looks and feels like - and what it all cost to make happen. This video took a long time to piece together, so if you enjoy it, a like, hype or comment would mean the world. 💙 Music from uppbeat: https://uppbeat.io/t/sonder-house/waltz-sergio-diaz-de-rojas License code: 0RBOSSNAUPUBYI7H #sailing #sailingaroundtheworld #sailingaustralia #sailinglife #sailingcouple #boatlife #liveaboard #sailingyacht #oceanlife #sailingchannel #travelvlog #greatbarrierreef #adventuretravel #offgridlife #sailingmonohull #sailingvlog #sailingadventure

We sailed to Lady Musgrave Island - one of our favourite coral cays at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. 🏝️ Before we could explore, we had to navigate a narrow channel, dodge swirling eddies, and avoid a few coral bombies. Once inside the lagoon, we dropped anchor and jumped straight into our big blue backyard - swimming with sharks and whales, snorkeling the reef, and soaking up the off-grid sailing life aboard Mon Ami. 🌊🐋🦈 Come sail with us and experience the wild side of the Great Barrier Reef! ⸻ 🔹 Subscribe & Follow Subscribe for weekly sailing adventures → https://www.youtube.com/@sailingami Support our travels (10% goes to marine conservation) → https://www.patreon.com/c/SailingAmi Instagram → @_kayleighbrown

We drove across Australia, cycled across New Zealand, and somehow ended up buying a yacht (without being rich). Here’s how it happened 👇

We’re continuing our sailing journey from Great Keppel Island to the southernmost group of islands in the Great Barrier Reef. With steady northerly winds, it was a relaxing sail through some of the clearest blue water in Australia. As we reached Masthead Island, we were welcomed by hundreds of seabirds and a completely uninhabited coral cay surrounded by pristine reef - the perfect liveaboard sailing destination. Once anchored, the adventure really began: 🦈 Stand up paddle boarding with SHARKS! 🐠 Snorkelling coral reefs 🤿 Freediving in crystal-clear water This video is packed with everything we love about the liveaboard sailing lifestyle - exploring remote islands, testing our sailing skills, and living close to nature on the Great Barrier Reef. ⚓️ If you enjoy sailing content, snorkelling adventures, freediving, paddle boarding, and exploring remote Australia, this one’s for you. 💙 Support our journey: Like, comment, and subscribe - it helps more people discover our sailing channel and join the adventure. #sailingboat #BoatLife #yacht

We're leaving Scawfell Island and setting off on a 120 nautical mile journey to Island Head Creek.. Normally, we’d stop and explore the islands along the way but this time, we’ve got a short weather window to make it south, so we’re sailing non-stop, all day and all night, before eventually moving on to the Keppel Islands. So come aboard and see what it’s really like to live on a sailboat - as we’ve kept this video as real and as raw as possible! 🐠 Become a Patreon + help save the ocean 🌊👇 https://www.patreon.com/c/SailingAmi 0:00 - Welcome Aboard! 0:34 - Navigating from Scawfell to Island Head Creek 3:29 - Sunset Sailing & Night Watch Under the Stars 5:15 - Sunrise with Dolphins: A Perfect Sailing Moment 7:12 - Island Head Creek: Coconut Hunting on the Water 11:04 - Mangrove Mudcrabs: Exploring Coastal Wildlife 13:03 - Hoisting Sails: Leaving Island Head Creek Behind 14:17 - Processing Fresh Coconuts Aboard the Sailboat 15:57 - “LURE ON MY BALLS!” 17:46 - Galley Girls: Life in the Sailboat Kitchen 20:00 - Sunset Extravaganza: Sailing into Golden Hour 22:24 - Boat Jump: Water Fun on the High Seas 23:14 - Keppel Island Mangroves: Shoreline Exploration 25:00 - Island Footsteps: Hiking & Discovering 29:00 - Next Week’s Voyage: What’s Ahead on Sailing Ami #BoatLife #Sailing #Unfiltered #TinyHomeOnWater
