Blueberry pancakes have been part of Sabre gatherings for more than 40 years, and it’s a tradition we’re incredibly proud to carry on. Bright and early Sunday morning, our team fired up the grills and got to work, serving breakfast to our owners one last time before everyone headed home. Of all the traditions we’ve built over the years, this will always be one of our favorites.

The Sabre 58 SE doesn't receive her Volvo Penta IPS drives until she reaches the shoreline. Before installation, the pod openings must be carefully prepared to ensure a precise fit and a watertight seal. Sea Trial Day 2 aboard the all-new Sabre 38 with Volvo Penta DPI propulsion. With all systems confirmed from Day 1, this is where we begin gathering the real performance data. Throughout the day, the team records RPM, trim angle, speed, fuel burn, and handling characteristics across a range of operating conditions to help determine optimal cruising performance and top-end speed. Sea Trial Day 1 for the all-new Sabre 38 with Volvo Penta DPI propulsion begins in Raymond, Maine. Before we can gather real-world performance data, the boat first needs to be transported from the factory to the marina and put through a full systems check on the water. This stage is all about validation. Testing the new Volvo Penta DPI system, confirming prop selection, checking engine data, and making sure every system onboard is operating exactly as intended. These first runs give the team a chance to make adjustments before official performance testing begins. Once everything is confirmed and running properly, we can move into Day 2 and begin collecting the true performance numbers for the new Sabre 38. The theme for our Summer 2021 Photo & Video Contest was "Breaking Free" - submissions highlighted the idea of freedom and escape provided by the Sabre boating lifestyle, and the results speak for themselves. The judge for this contest was Sabre's Purchasing Manager, who had the following to say about her selections: VIDEO WINNER: For me, this video is about sharing appreciation for the beauty in passing moments. The sun slipping away in the last moments of the golden hour and the glow moving across the water are fleeting moments we can stop and appreciate; those little things that, when we take the time to really notice them, bring out gratitude and happiness in each of us. PHOTO WINNER: This is a lovely shot of the sort of location I imagine when I think of Sabre owners cruising around the world and finding hidden gems in nature.
