At age 17, Otto Coleman is already discovering just how far sailing can take him. Competing at #RSFestSanFran 2026, Otto raced in the RS Venture Connect. In this video he shares his journey into sailing; from discovering a connection with nature and the outdoors to finding a community of people who encourage and support him along the way. One of the highlights of RS Fest was getting out on San Francisco Bay alongside so many other sailors. The RS Venture Connect fleet sailed alongside the RS Tera, RS Feva and RS Aero fleets, bringing multiple RS Classes together on the same water. This is the inclusive spirit of RS Fest. And the support didn’t stop at the shore: “Even while on the water, other boats out there were giving me tips, telling me what to pull - screaming at me which direction to go. All of that has been really helpful.” His message to anyone who thinks they have limits? “If you think you can’t, just try it. Who is eligible? Based in the UK A sailing club (not an individual) Running training for young people that leads into racing How much is the discount? The final day of the RS Games brought championship racing to a close as the remaining class titles were decided in Travemünde, bringing to an end nine unforgettable days on and off the water. From the opening races to the final prize givings, the 2026 RS Games showcased world-class competition, new friendships and a sailing community unlike any other. As sailors packed up and headed home, there was one overwhelming feeling – gratitude for an incredible event, and excitement to do it all again.
