[EN] Red Rocket and her four crew members continue to chart their course. In their wake, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and now Madeira. After discovering the island's riches, and in particular its luxuriant flora, the RM1080 loaned to the farming family for a year left Madeira and dropped anchor off the island of Porto Santo, famous for its magical landscapes, but also for its rich history, since Christopher Columbus stayed on its soil. It was a destination that did not leave Arnaud, Martine and their two children indifferent. This was their last pit-stop before a slightly longer crossing to the Azores. They were all rather impatient to reach the famous archipelago, and didn't hesitate to set sail as soon as the opportunity presented itself! More than four days later, in fairly varied and sometimes challenging conditions, the crew landed in the port of Santa Maria. [ENGLISH VERSION] The most adventurous RM1080 and its valiant crew arrived in Madeira after a crossing of around 300 nautical miles from the Canaries. A little weather preparation was required to choose a suitable window for sailing, although our farmers didn't hesitate for long before setting sail! The 3-day sail was not very restful, with more than two days spent sailing close-hauled in heavy seas. Nevertheless, the crew quickly tied up, thanks to their growing experience and the comfort of the RM1080. Arriving in the port of Funchal, our farmers were greeted by a strong gale, before setting off to explore the island, starting with Madeira's superb Tropical Garden. [English version] Our lucky farmers are continuing their journey aboard Red Rocket, the first RM1080 to come out of the RM shipyards. This week, they discovered the absolutely splendid landscapes of the island of Fuerteventura, with its immense dunes, turquoise beaches, mountainous and desert landscapes dotted with lush villages! The island is also home to Barbary squirrels, which were very playful with our sailors. For their final stopover in the Canaries, Arnaud, Martine and their two children made a stopover in Lanzarote, after a crossing from Fuerteventura which took place in dream conditions aboard the RM1080: flat seas and a reaching leg. These conditions were ideal for setting the boat's new speed record! The sailing ended with the first night at anchor in Playa Quemada: a deserted beach of black sand, bordered by dunes, which provided a superb playground for the children. After attending the emblematic Santa Cruz Carnival, Red Rocket is back on the ocean, heading for Gran Tarajal. Their journey was punctuated by a stopover on the island of Gran Canaria, a destination with a host of shipchandlers that gave them the opportunity to acquire a few additional items as well as a flagship symbol: the Gwenn Ha Du.  Our farming family was not spared the region's characteristic bad weather, which was fortunately offset by the splendid landscapes through which the first RM1080 sailed. - Après avoir assisté à l'emblématique carnaval de Santa-Cruz, Red Rocket est de retour sur l'océan, direction Gran Tarajal. Martine, Arnaud and their two children spent a week on the island of La Palma, giving them the opportunity to discover some of the island's most emblematic sites, including the Roque de Los Muchachos, with its observatory and giant telescopes, and the Cumbre Vieja volcano, which is still very active. The time spent at anchor also allows the children to do their homework in peace and quiet: in fact, both of them are continuing their schooling during this trip! Après ces quelques jours passés du côté de l'île d' El Hierro, à l'Ouest de l'archipel des Canaries, Red Rocket et son vaillant équipage ont repris leur route, direction La Palma. Une navigation qui s'est déroulée sous gennaker dans des conditions idylliques: vent modéré, mer plate, et soleil. Une belle opportunité d'apprécier les qualités de glisse du RM1080. The last two weeks have been a busy time for the new crew of Red Rocket. With a brave heart nothing impossible, they will have responded favourably to the call of the sea, and organized their life so far sedentary for a jump into the unknown. La ferme est entre de bonnes mains pour une année, les enfants déjà à leurs devoirs sur la table de carré de Red Rocket et les explorations aux canaries peuvent commencer sereinement. Avant les premières navigations ambitieuses un tour technique de Red Rocket s'imposait, afin de découvrir ses systèmes, ses voiles, l'inventaire et avitaillement présent à bord, et bien sûr les différents systèmes de communication qui les raccorderont à terre. Red Rocket peut donc poursuivre son périple sereinement, entre de bonnes mains !
