My name is Alex Dorsey. I'm a filmmaker who got fed up with the industry and needed a change. I bought a small sailboat and decided to document my cruising experiences. I left the US in 2001 and I've been sailing the world and blogging ever since. I'm the first sail blogger and v-logger, I even started before YouTube or Facebook existed. Today my intention is to provide sailing knowledge from more of an experienced perspective. I single-handed across the Pacific Ocean on a 28-foot boat, sold it in Australia, bought a couple more boats and ended up meeting Carla in 2012. Now my wife and I live aboard a 42-foot ketch, SY Eleanor, helping others achieve sustainable lives afloat. During the 2000s I released two feature-length sailing films, which you can watch on my channel and Carla and I have just launched a new show focusing not only on sailing but how we can all live better lives.
