Mark your calendars and double your yoga classes—SEVENTY48 is back, and it’s kicking off earlier than ever. On Friday, May 29, 2026, at 7:00 PM, a human-powered flotilla will launch from the Foss Waterway Seaport in Tacoma. 70 miles. 48 hours. No support. No sails. No engines. Just you and your muscle fibers. This is a race against the tide, the current, the clock—and maybe that voice in your head that asks what on earth you're doing out here. Whether you’re racing to win or for some other reason, SEVENTY48 doesn’t care how you do it—as long as it’s 100% human-powered. Kayaks, SUPs, pedal boats, rowboats, outrigger canoes, inflatable flamingos retrofitted with bike cranks—if it moves without wind or fuel, it’s fair game. And yes, there are prizes. The total prize pot typically tops $10,000 (based on the number of racers at the starting line), and the first to finish takes half of it. The rest is split evenly between three class winners and one Random Hero—chosen from the finishers, so even last place has a chance at the cash. Registration opens November 15. https://seventy48.com/ 🎥: Ryder Booth

"Whooo Team Snufkin!" We caught up with George and Stina Booth (brother/sister duo) of Team Snufkin, formerly Team Solveig. After completing two Race To Alaska 's they said that so far, WA360 has been "less stressful and more fun"...and yeah, we agree.

It's Day 2. Lots of boat movement through the night with the front of the fleet rounding Olympia Shoal and a major leader board shake up with Team JED Racing and Team Narwhal appearing to drop the dinner hook atop Anderson Island. The middle of the fleet now nears Olympia while the back half starts their day after an evening on Blake Island. Thanks to Team TBD @everydayexpedition for the sunrise drone shots. #wa360 #northwestmaritime #sailing #rainier #mountains #sunrise #beautiful
