And so bravely or perhaps “stupid” I took the chance to get a loan after a lot of considerations to finance my first sailing-vessel .Transitioning to a small live aboard lifestyle takes time, planning, flexibility and a lot of preparation as I didn't know anything about sailing. Though I do have plenty of experience with the world of water as a diver and motorboats but it cant be compared. Set and done I started to realizing my thoughts. Being a beginner I wanted to prioritize safety as I would be learning to sail in the winter in the Scandinavian cold waters. And so I ended up with a 28 foot Laurinkoster sailboat from 1967. And learning with no money means study yourself. I went to the harbours and started talk to the old Sea pirates and reading a lot. I think my main question at that time was - Give me your worse case scenario and what to do in that situation! It didn't take long before I went out by myself and tried out everything I learned in theory. And now i reached 4000nm!
