But here's the part that really blew us away: the current owner just put this boat through a comprehensive, no-expense-spared reconstruction — full repaint, engine overhauls, hull refairing, new marble, updated electronics, the works. And get this — the cost of that refit alone nearly matched (some say exceeded) the boat's current asking price. That means you're basically getting a brand new yacht build, at a fraction of what building one from scratch would actually cost you. Burger Boat Company has been building yachts in Manitowoc, Wisconsin since 1863, and this one carries naval architecture from the legendary Jack Hargrave. If you know boats, you know that name means business. This girl started life at 81 feet and was extended to 87' in 1992 — giving her that coveted semi-enclosed aft deck and a lazarette big enough to swallow half a marina's worth of gear. She's a semi-displacement aluminum hull, which means she's not just a pretty face — she can actually move. Twin Detroit Diesel 12V92s pushing 1,080hp each get her up to 22 knots top speed, cruising comfortably around 19. The interior is done by our good friend Carla, of Carla Guilhem Design, and as you might remember, Carla also designed our ADAMAS. So it's all about Shapes and Sophisticated Relaxation. The moment you walk on board, you notice the clean lines and huge windows. The entire yacht feels bright, open, and very thoughtfully designed without being overcomplicated. Some of my favorite features? The luxurious social spaces, the seamless indoor–outdoor flow, and how calm and sophisticated the overall atmosphere feels.
