Hi Guys, This vlog started off great, we were so excited to be heading towards Wales along the Staffs and Worcs canal and then onto the Shropshire Union Canal. Unfortunately things took an unexpected turn when I became very ill and required hospital treatment, abruptly ending the trip. I always want to show both sides of living on a narrowboat and getting ill definitely has its challenges under normal circumstances. When you combine this with living on a boat it can get complicated. I hope you enjoy this vlog. Hi Guys, In this vlog I tackle my biggest challenge yet - the dreaded multi fuel stove! It needed maintenance and repaired so badly. So while the weather is good I decided to get it done! I removed the door, replaced the fire rope, removed the old glass replaced it and resealed. I also painted the stove and haven't broke the stove or myself in the process. Really pleased! Hi Guys, In this vlog I share with you one of the best cruises I've ever had, the weather was perfect and it was so peaceful and enjoyable. After living nearly two years in our self-converted campervan we decided we needed more space. So we decided to purchase a boat after spending some time on our friend's narrowboat. Grayswood was conveniently located less that 5 minutes from my work and was found kind of by accident. I was visiting a friend who was staying in Aston Marina and whilst we were out walking the dogs, I seen the advert for Grayswood. I said to my friend "that looks a nice boat" and as I said it the marina manager appeared and asked if we would like a look inside. Naturally we did. After looking inside the boat, we made an offer after going back for a second viewing, after some negotiations within a week she was ours pending a survey. She was hauled out the following week and the survey went well. We kept her out on the hard standing for a further six weeks whilst we renovated the insides including fitting a new kitchen and bathroom.
