Tis the season to be jolly. Ahoy mates! Thanks for tuning in. In this video we give an update on the status of our three boat projects at Keehi Lagoon, Honolulu Hawaii. It's almost the time of the year when partner Skip comes to town for his winter sailing and boat project work. Shipwrite Erik is already in town to prepare for Traditions haul out. And the Dive Boat has a new owner with big plans. Thanks for keeping top with this adventure. Please subscribe, if you haven't already. It's free, and really helps the channel grow. Aloha Joah
In this video we take a walk through tour of a custom 50' Australian built Trimaran, witch just made it's way to Hawaii, Keehi Lagoon. We also start getting stuck into the project ketch rig sailboat, Quest. Both the dive boat and the sailboat are still for sale. We clean up and get ready for a few showings this week, to potential buyers. It seems like there is always something new and interesting happening with boat life. It keeps me on my toes... Would you buy this custom Trimaran for 126k, and sail it all the way from Australia to Hawaii? Thanks for tuning in! Joah
In this video we start to put the pieces back together on our 45' ketch rig Newport sailboat named Quest. Maki comes aboard to start helping out with the boat work and the YouTube channel. Do you think we can bring this 1957 Newport Ketch back to her former glory? Is it a waste of time and money? Would you take on a project boat like this? Thanks for tuning in! Please consider subscribing. Its free and it really helps the channel grow. Aloha Joah
DOG DAY AFTERNOON Aboard DUMPSTER DIVE- 50' US NAVY DIVE WORK BOAT Gets A NEW TOP! How Does It Look?
In this video we finish up the new awning top aboard the 50' Pearl Harbor Navy dive work Boat. The dogs come along for the day, and really seem to enjoy eating barnacles off the bumpers on deck. Thanks for following along with this journey. Aloha Joah
In this video we finally get some much needed shade for the Dumpster Dive, Pearl Harbor Navy Dive Work Boat. It's amazing how much bigger and more comfortable the boat feels with our new EZ Corners Pipe Tent. The plan is to build on anther section for the stern, now that we see how the system fits the boat. They work together quite well, in my opinion. How does the pipe tent structure look to you? Maybe its a little "nautical hillbilly," but at least that's an authentic look for our program... Thanks for tuning in. Aloha Joah
In this video we take a look at the three different boats which I find myself involved in at the present moment, in Hawaii. Are three boats too many?! With the 1928 schooner Tradition awaiting her haul out, and new mast steps, I find myself dabbling in the nautical games once again. It is less of a living and more of a life, that is for sure. We have committed to keeping the Navy Dive Work Boat (50'DWB) for now, and putting her to work as a towing and recovery vessel. The latest acquisition is aNewport Ketch from 1957, named Quest. She was left for dead by her last owner, and now we are deciding to do the refit ourselves, or simply sell her off as-is, to the highest bider. What do you think about all of this mayhem? is it too much? Or is it the beginning of something bigger? Thanks for tuning in! Aloha Joah
In this video we get the 45' center cockpit Ketch rigged cruising sailboat LEGAL! She's on a mooring ball in Hawaii, and is for sale. I have enough project rights now, so I am offering this one up now, before I get a chance to start working on her. This is a great opportunity for the right person to get into a nice live aboard cruiser for cheep, and build it into their dream boat. If she doesn't sell quickly, I'll start the refit myself. It wouldn't be bad have a usable sailboat in that size and style. She's easy to run and has lots of potential for fun and sun here in the Hawaiian waters. Thanks for tuning in. Would You Take This 45' SAILBOAT FOR FREE? US NAVY Dive Work Boat Recovering Abandoned YACHT HAWAII!
In this video we put the 50' Navy DWB to work, with a recovery and towing job at Keehi lagoon. We recover an abandoned 45' Ketch Rig Sailboat, off anchor, and bring her to a private dock. Is this sailboat worth fixing up and keeping, or is it better off in the scrap yard? Let me know what you think.
SELL The 50' LIVE ABOARD U.S. NAVY DIVE WORK BOAT? Aftermath of LAHAINA FIRE. WHATS NEXT FOR HAWAII?
In this video we consider if we should sell the Pearl Harbor Shipyard Navy Dive Work Boat, and talk about the aftermath of the suspicious fires that sprung up in the Hawaiian Islands. Do you know what a "smart city" is? Do you know about the history of The Kingdom of Hawaii? it seems like everything is up in the air... Can we connect with each other again, and be one national family, or is this anther things pushing us toward total divide? We all know the say saying, "united we stand, divided we fall. Thanks for tuning in and supporting this channel Aloha Joah
Hawaii has just experienced on of the biggest tragedies in recent history. Powerful wind storms push a devastating fire through the heart of historic Lahaina Town on Maui. This video is a collection of short clips from the days leading up to this gut wrenching catastrophe. We are still finding out the full extent of the damages on Maui, and the tragic loss of life that occurred there. Maui and its people have been devastated. It will take a long time to recover from this event, and Hawaii will probably never be the same again. Please send your thoughts and prayers to the lost souls, and the survivors who are there picking up the pieces. Aloha Joah
In this video we respond to an emergency call for a sinking sailboat in Waikiki. Also we weld new cleats on the deck of the 50' Navy Dive Boat. In this video I am fighting a deadline from Captain Tom's request to bring the dive barge to Keehi Lagoon by the 31st... Which was yesterday.... The twin Detroit Diesel motors seem to be running good. However, we ran into a snag with the hydraulic steering, and I still need to clean the boat bottom, before I'm comfortable taking her out to sea. Also we get into a little cleaning. There is a lot more to do. Thanks for tuning in. Please give us a like and subscribe. We need to achieve over 1000 subscribers in order to monetize the channel. In this video we check out an official US NAVY dive boat from the Pearl Harbor Navel Shipyard. Captain Tom is looking for another live aboard boat for his mooring ball at Keehi Lagoon. We have been having some fun shopping around for a cool one. But we always hold true to the wisdom that, "there's always another boat coming along." Hope you enjoy the tour of this very unique piece of Navel engineering. Aloha Joah
