At Lake Tarawera in July 2026. Chilly! This was 11am? The gangplank is 2 piece and can be ude to get from beach onto boat, or as a side deck booster. Point - Nige often slipped off the side as he was using the narrow side decks. FIXED!

Shes' 1.7m long overall and splits in half at midships for easy stowage. I'll give her an extended test with a river cruise planned next week. We'll see if I can actually manage too - my legs and balance are still not 100%. We'll see.

Amost 11 years since launching and it wass time for a good touch up of Grace's exterior. After a lot of sanding and a bit of epoxy filler, 4x coats of International GOLDSPAR varnish and 2x primer/undercoat plus 2-3x top coats of Altex ISOTAL paint (depending on the area). The trailer (now 7 years old) also had some tickle ups - cosmetic only. Not a 'showroom' finish and she still sports some deep scars from her campaigns, but I'm happy enough. Now to get back on/in the water for summer proper!

Alan Hooper filmed Grace (from his Welsford NAVIGATOR design) leaving Cherry Bay under motor, but sporting her new mizzen, on Lake Taupo this week.

We didn't like the same-old 300/400/600 batten spacings you see everywhere. So we came up with this for our little lake house! January 2023.

Gail and I took the MAC up the lake and up the Waikato to almost the Whakamaru Dam. It took a few seconds from still to get on the plane, but the little 15hp performed really well. I guess with fuel and fishing gear and lunch etc - we had 250kg aboard + 200Kg boat and motor. Top speed 35 kmh.
