This is an old video I must admit I have changed things a little bit as I am always trying to improve my methods.
It shows experience to moor up faster when it is windy and slower when it is not windy. Iniatially in most situations you only need one line to moor up and it is not always the windward line. If the approach is not right, do not feel compelled and start again.

If you are going to go out in these conditions make sure lines, fenders and reefs are in before you leave the marina.

You have got to make sure everythings in set up right before going out in these conditions. No unnecessary going down the side of the boat sorting things out when at sea.
If you use one too big, it slows down the boat too much, you lose steerage and water comes over the stern.
