The support structure below the decks must be installed correctly to achieve strength and follow the design curves. The Mumby 48 is setup in the upright position for our build method. It is much more cost/time effective for us than building the hulls upside down and then having to turn the whole hull with a crane.

The beam is lofted from the plans and hand cut on the shop floor. It is then fitted between the bulkheads and fully welded. A backing plate is fitted and welded over the join at each side.
