Big Mama Sailing is based in the Magnetic Island/Townsville area, after 18 years of cruising Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand & PNG.We are family owned & operated operation, a family of four, Stu, Lisa, our son Fletcher & boat dog Coco.Fletcher was raised on our yachts, home schooled.Big Mama(our home)is a 60ft Adams Ketch and she was built in Bloomfield, Far North Queensland.We sold our last boat, a Halvorsen Freya 47ft and bought Big Mama early 2012 to focus on our own charter business.Ragamuffin 111 was purchased & restored in 2019, a vessel with a colourful racing history.Our third vessel, Samurai was purchased in October 2023 & after 6 months of a restoration, she also has a wonderful history in offshore racing.In our spare time we LOVE to explore our ocean backyard & we will share some of these adventures with you as well as the commitment & responsibilities of keeping three well maintained vessels.
