We had some sporty conditions for our race Sunday out to R "2" and 1AH. Monday was more serene buoy races near the school. Come out and learn to sail and then join our KeelBoat Club. https://www.annapolissailing.com/courses/ #sailing #annapoils #sailingschool #annapolis
There are some common mistakes when renters, KBC members and students rig our Rainbow 24s. One is pulling the main halyard through the cleat instead of simply pulling the main up and then cleating. #annapolis #annapolissail #sailingschool #sailing #annapoils
A post-race lecture discussing Rule 14 "Avoiding Contact" and what is reasonably possible and I countered with even if you are the stand on vessel getting into collisions always slows you down. If you can avoid a collision a boat should always do so for a host of reasons, but the most basic is that hitting other boats is a very slow way to get around the racecourse. We race every Sunday and Monday. Come on out! https://www.annapolissailing.com/keelboat-club-2/racing/ #newtonsthirdlaw #annapolissail #annapolis #sailingschool #sailing
