DERECKTOR Shipyards was founded in 1947 in Mamaroneck, New York by Bob Derecktor. It has a history of building prominent sailboats including America's Cup winner, Stars & Stripes. Derecktor has added a new yard in Fort Pierce, FL where they are hauling out some of the largest sailboats in the world, using the largest mobile boat hoist in the Western Hemisphere. This unique yard has ample dockage that can accommodate vessels up to 350 feet in length. Plans call for more dockage for in-water work, increasing the area on the hard to block more vessels, and adding a dry dock and other systems to haul even larger vessels. Derecktor's yard crew and subcontractors provide superyacht quality service. With exceptional access to the Atlantic, a private international airport, a revitalized downtown, and a laid back atmosphere, Derecktor Fort Pierce offers mega sailing yachts a prime location for repairs and refitting where no project is too big.

The sailing vessel, more specifically, the sailing rig and its ability to harvest wind energy is one of the most elegant examples of engineering that we've ever conceived. Rigging was plant fiber for longer than it has been the metals and the irons. Right now we're transitioning back to a modern fiber and reviving some of the older traditions of working with fiber. Brion Toss Yacht Rigging is one of the few shops that is well versed in the traditional and contemporary side of sailboat rigging. Brion Toss Yacht Riggers is located in Port Townsend, Washington. The crew of s/v Airi Alee at our marina made a decision to buy a new Liferaft once the 10-man raft that came with the boat reached 7 years old. At that point, certification should be done every year. We manually inflated the raft in the swimming pool at Dockside Marina and Resort, South Hutchinson Island, Fort Pierce FL located on the Atlantic inlet. Once purchased, skippers must provide crew training and maintenance of the raft and it's inflation system ************************************ For more how-to and destination sailing videos, visit TheSailingChannel.TV and Sailflix.com.

TRAILER. Miss T is a 29 ft sailboat, designed in 1969. "Spending time with Miss T" is the video project following her interior rebuild. Film One is now available for streaming rental and download-to-own at Vimeo On Demand. https://vimeo.com/ondemand/spendingtimewithmisst Miss T is entirely gutted at the moment, and the objective is to rebuild her interior, true to the original 1960's stylish, yet functional manner in which she was once built. The entire project is an utterly irrational affair, driven by a strongly felt passion for small, hopelessly unfashionable sailboats. My name is Peter Hammar, and I am the proud owner of Miss T, and of this video project. There are no other interests involved than my own desire to carry on with the renovation and share the progress with an audience. I've just released Episode 1 through TheSailingChannel.TV. More video episodes will be added as the project develops. These will be between 30 minutes and an hour long, and offered as rentals or downloads-to-own. Below the episode titles, will be episode trailers that are free to watch. There is also a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, a Patron page, an Instagram account and so on. Feel free to look them up. If you are intrigued with this series, please share it on your own social media sites. Should you prefer the quiet surroundings of an old fashioned web page, visit https://spendingtimewithmisst.com. All the episodes will stream there available for purchase. If you have any questions of comments, either after having watched an episode or before making the decision to do so, please leave them in the comments section below. I am looking forward to answering them. Greetings and fair winds, Peter Hammar
