After completing necessary repairs to our boat following its launch for the sailing season, we finally head out on our journey northward through the windward islands towards Martinique. After being out of the water for 4 months, we head back to Grenada to prepare Symphony for the next sailing season. All goes well at the start, but the problems pile up until we run into something that requires us to haul back out of the water for a repair. I wanted to give a quick update on our plans, we had some boat problems that we could not fix ourselves, so we hauled the boat back out and went home for Christmas. We'll pick back up in January!

We get back to the boat in Grenada and sail our nephews up to Carriacou, Bequia, Tobago Cays, and Union Island. While in Carriacou, I explain the steps we take to anchor in a small area and feel confident that we are not going to damage our boat or others. We wrap it all up by sailing back down to Grenada and haul the catamaran out for hurricane season. We pick up our friends in Saint Lucia and enjoy a mud bath before heading south to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. There we explore beautiful Bequia and the Tobago Cays. We then finish our final leg to Grenada, completing our 3,000 mile journey from Virginia that we started 6 months before.

We settle in after sailing to Saint Lucia and get the boat REALLY clean. Some good friends fly in for a week and we hike around Fort Rodney before heading south to the Pitons. We sail to The Saints in Guadeloupe and spend several days exploring before we head out on our last overnight for the season to Saint Lucia. We visit a fort and do a dive before we go.
