Pregnant and back in the Bahamas as a full-time travel family on a travel vlog exploring island life with a toddler, a dog and a baby on the way. We didn’t expect to start this chapter of our life like this... but here we are and Brittni is pregnant again! Instead of slowing down, we’ve found ourselves right back in the Bahamas living life between the ocean, islands and full-time travel. We shouldn’t have left when we did… but we sailed anyway. In this episode of Sailing Sunday, we sail to the Bahamas on a 3-day ocean passage after rushing across the USA to get back to our boat. With almost no sleep, we left the dock and crossed toward the Bahamas, dealing with rough seas, bad timing and a weather window that didn’t go to plan. This turned into one of the most exhausting short passages we’ve had. We missed our weather window, spent days smashing straight into wind and waves and ran into a few unexpected problems along the way… including running out of fuel offshore. By the time we reached the Bahamas, we were completely wrecked. But what we didn’t tell you… is that all of this was happening while something pretty big was going on behind the scenes. After walking away from Sailing Sunday, we thought this would be a new exciting chapter looking for our new boat, our new home, to continue this sailing life we live, traveling around the world full time off grid. But after numerous let downs, overpriced boats and months of searching we become quite lost. This week we're shopping for our new boat in USA. As leave New York City behind, we point the 5th wheel all the way back down to Florida to the warmer weather as the next boat hunt officially begins! First stop is Charleston to catchup with our mates to do some quick repairs and have a few laughs while we “mechanic” our way through it. From there we roll into St Augustine to look at a few boats while we also give the RV a full fresh vinyl wrap before continuing south to Florida where Ashton & Carly show us the two sailboats they rebuilt from the ground up, including their 44ft sailboat they’re selling for only $38,000! Seven years aboard our Tiny Home on Water sailing 45,000+ nautical miles, in five minutes, It was Sold!!! That’s how long it took for a subscriber to buy our floating home after we advertised "Sunday" For Sale! We’ve been living aboard our sailboat for 7yrs and in the Bahamas now for the past three months while Ryan’s been working with the Boy Scouts teaching sailing and running adventures out of the Abacos. But on his final trip, news hit that a Category 5 hurricane was tracking straight for us! With little time to prepare, Brittni scrambled at the house to get everything ready while Ryan was still offshore. We packed up, got the boat ready and braced ourselves. Thankfully, the storm veered away at the last moment… but it was a clear sign it was definitely time to leave! As soon as it passed, we set sail with our baby Oakley and dog Jackson onboard dodging squalls and heavy weather on the way out of the Bahamas.
