We sailed to Mazatlán, Mexico to experience the 2024 total solar eclipse with our sailing family, old pals, new pals, and Mazatlán in general! From dance parties on deck to late-night Banda music, ocean swims, beach days, and epic reunions, this passage reminded us why we fell in love with the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Mexico in the first place. Marissa left for California to get some work and snowboarding in, then returned home to a boat without Chris! @KesselUnderway sailed away to La Cruz, leaving Marissa alone aboard for a week where she quickly realized she is bad at being alone, and even worse at learning to love the isolation of the desert.
