BIRTH and LABOR vlog, our honest and raw birth vlog. A natural birth after a c-section. This is the most special vlog of 2022 we have made so far, the birth of our beautiful little girl Eleanora. An overdue birth 41 weeks and 2 days pregnant with our second baby after a c-section: a natural labor and delivery in the hospital, a labor of in total 4 hours, with the complication that the umbilical cord was two times wrapped around the neck of the baby and mom lost 1 liter of blood. OH NO! What's going on? Rianne DOESN'T want to SAIL anymore. The end of boat life in Montenegro? Sailing Montenegro our final sail? Well not exactly but it is the end of boat life winter and we have perfect sailing conditions to start sailing, but we are not sailing. Not even in Montenegro. We stay at anchor or in the marina for most of the time, marina life it seems nowadays. That's not what I, Gerben, signed up for. Only when the sailing conditions are really perfect, like champagne sailing, then we go out sailing. So what's going on? We do have some massive news to share with you and Rianne will tell us why we aren't sailing. We look back at the beautiful sailing we did to beautiful places like Ventotene and Ponza Italy, the Ionian Islands, Symi and Greece. Instead of sailing the boys go on an adventure. There's snow on the mountain tops, so Gerben and Benjamin need to explore. They drive all the way up to Lovcen Montenegro. It is a stressful, icy and snowy, but scenic road all the way up to the mountain. With a beautiful view of the Bay of Kotor Montenegro and Porto Montenegro. An emotional rollercoaster - Not sailing and being with Benjamin for 7 days in the hospital Montenegro, and seeing all the other kids being sick was heartbreaking for Rianne. Gerben surprised them with a solo sail Montenegro so when he 'saved Benjamin' from the hospital, they could be instantly enjoying sailing life again. Join us in this special episode with a lot of technical sailing information. After more than 20 months it is time to clean the hull, with our eco-friendly hull wrap and to see how the Finsulate is doing. Will, it hold or not? In 2020 we choose an eco-friendly hull wrap for our sailboat. A start-up and of course has some risks and consequences. In this episode, we show you the process of cleaning the hull, another boat job that needs to be done. And again, we found an eco-friendly way to do it. We found underwater cleaning Tivat who developed a new technique in the hull cleaning process. It is an underwater hull cleaning sail boat process that uses cavity and cavitation technology. Overall we are still satisfied. We do believe that where and how often you sail has a big impact on how the product works. There are areas where the growth is times 10 to the Mediterranean and has totally different biodiversity. In the beginning, it was a one-man's show, and the inventor operated the whole business by himself. That means production, development, sales, customer service, etc. Not ideal and slow responding times, typical for a startup in the first phase. SURPRISE a GENDER REVEAL sailing family! We have some big news to share. What better day to choose than a perfect family sailing life day - boat life at its best. We are sailing further south to sailing Montenegro coastline. With little to no wind, we had to get the gennaker up and enjoyed a beautiful champagne sailing, sailing Mediterranean sea. We are blessed with our life on a sailboat and our family sail life. Again we realize that life is happening for you, not to you.
