ABOUT TIME, RIGHT?! MAN was I stopped in my tracks! NOTE - Simon's walk around inspection, both outside on the ground, on the decks and from anchor locker to lazarette and all in between were not filmed as I didn't want to get in his way and he moved quite efficiently in the process. In this episode I line the anchor locker with REALLY TOUGH rubber to protect the steel - hull, locker floor, bulkhead - especially over the long term; I finish adding ventillation screens and latch handles to the V berth locker doors and get them fitted; and fit a nice Rosewood spacer to the engine box to mount the engine start switch panel in order to protect the wiring on the inside. The Stove-Oven gas fuel (LPG/Propane) install for Mistress REALLY HAS BEEN a time consuming saga-aka sh#tshow- and one that tested my patience! I stayed sane by just moving on with other boatwork projects over the time taken to FINALLY get this sorted, well, mostly! There are A LOT of necessary components in this, including the particular Aust. authorities approved "manufacturer only pre-lagged copper pipe"; the electrical install for both the automatic shut-off solenoid and Gas Detector alarm device along with the X2 sensors needing X2 different siting positions; the gas bottle locker drain involving holes being made to both the locker and hull; and I also get a brand NEW stove-oven (as has been the plan for some time) to replace the prior new, but too small, one that I had already installed previously. Once again there is a lot happening in this episode, but I can say a BIG highlight was FINALLY getting away to have a break/rest from the boatyard and boatwork! I sort out a design for the cabin 2 locker; make up a multi-profiled edge piece for the head/toilet pedestal top as well as get all of the main panels and pieces made up for the cabinet! I also get a custom made PE roto-moulded Holding tank and work on it's fitting design and the FINALE is getting the engine box-companionway steps finally fitted and hinging right up to the coachroof height!
