Sail to Brazil and experience carnival then travel to the Amazon river with Lisa and Krista to learn about Amazon ecosystems. Pierre would have sailed BioTrek alone to Fernando de Naronha while Lisa took a trip home, except he broke his arm and was short-handed! Wow! 20 knots continuous boat speed as we leave Indonesia with help from an outward current as we sailed between Bali and Lombok. But then the wind died. The wind came back up again and we made the passage to Cocos Keeling Islands in the Indian Ocean in 6 days.
