It is an important video because we want people to realize how challenging navigation can be when going up and down this river to the Lauderdale Marine Center which is part of the Safe Harbor chain of marinas. It's important to take someone who has some experience with you if you have the means, or if you do not, we recommend that you read up on the online information and have all the calls on the VHF lined up as you go. Make sure you know where the obstacles are and have a map in hand that lets you know where they are. Monaco dahling? I'd rather be sailing! In our latest episode, having sailed further east from Antibes, we waited for a weather window to cross back to Corsica and found ourselves in Monaco - known the world over as the playground of the rich and famous. We dipped our toes into this tiny but exclusive and expensive country and watched the weather. Instead of the hoped for northerlies to blow us across to Corsica, the forecast grew into a far reaching mistral and the marina had no space for us to stay! After finding what we hoped would be a protected anchorage we crossed our fingers?.
