Matt and Lisa make the tough decision to Sail away from Key West, in the aftermath of hurricane Ian. Key West experienced it’s fair share of death and destruction during the storm, and with another storm possibly following the same path in nine days, the crew decided to start their adventure two months earlier than planned. The five day sail up to mainland was filled with poor weather, big waves, and little sleep. Once they arrive in Fort Lauderdale, they quickly work to get the sailboat stocked with food, fuel, and anything else they will need for their international travels. Esse entrou em erupção em 1957, formando uma ponta adicional na ilha. Existia um farol que era a ponta mais avançada, mas depois desse vulcão ficou um pouco pra trás. Visitamos o museu e subimos no farol que já está desativado. Aqui ao pé do vulcão foi o montado o pórtico de chegada da corrida que falei anteriormente.
