We have seen some incredible, amazing things during our 4 years living on a sailboat. This one takes the cake. Get it, because it happened on my birthday. I was on watch and I called “the crew” to come up and see what the Lord gifted to me. There were two pods, 4 each, of whales that surfaced in front of our electric Salona 44 monohull. They each blew their spout 6 times. My exact age! Is that not the coolest present ever! Today we have the fun of finding the leaks on our dinghy, also called a tender. If you remember from a past short, we didn't account for the crazy low tide here on the east coast of Australia. So we came back from town to find our dinghy in the mud. We patched the holes and Captain changed the spark plugs on our dinghy motor with help from our son Dane.
